The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee, as I noted yesterday, seem pretty convinced that Britain’s labour market is in rude health. Yesterday’s minutes placed a great deal of emphasis on the reporting of the Bank’s agents and referred to the potential upside risks to inflation.
